History
The farm originated as a dairy farm, coupled with chickens for 75 years, with dairy phasing out in the early 1980s. When I acquired the farm in 2009, we planted a small apple orchard, then expanded the blueberry, raspberry, rhubarb, and asparagus plantings. Selling cut flowers (from our perennial gardens) started with canning jars sitting atop a folding table and tent in 2003. Adding the farm stand in 2010 provided a more shaded, formal roadside market for our farm goodies. 2014 marked our first year of being certified organic for many of our farm products. Creating the Produce CSA and Bouquet Subscriptions in 2015 serve another opportunity to promote, healthy, locally-grown produce and fresh flowers.
