Green-Wood Cemetery, established in 1838 and located in Brooklyn, N.Y., is spread over an area of more than 400-acres. It offers several burial options, including an urn garden, columbarium, community and private family mausoleums, and traditional in-ground burials. It is a full-service non-sectarian, nonprofit cemetery, and uses its funds for maintenance and improvements of the facility. The cemetery is easily accessible by major highways and public transportation. Green-Wood Cemetery offers various grave options, such as single grave with a choice of up to three interments, and two-grave lots. It is a member of the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary System, promoting wildlife and environmental conservation through public involvement.
