Grassroots Environmental Education, a non-profit organization, was founded in 2000 by Patti and Doug Wood. Its mission is to 'educate the public about the links between common environmental exposures and human health.' The organization is primarily funded by private donations while the Westchester Community Foundation, the Long Island Community Foundation and the Rauch Foundation provide additional support.
