History
Opened in 1952 by the Gioiosa brothers in downtown Plattsburgh. In 1980, the new Skyway Shopping Center opens and Gioiosa's Liquor Store moves to open its doors at its new location at 26 Skyway Shopping Center. It remains a very small liquor store until the store is purchased by Rick Latour in late 2002. In 2005 Gioiosa's Liquor Store takes over the retail space once occupied by O'Brien Video. Rick Latour then incorporates the business and Gioiosa's Wine & Spirits, Inc. is born. Eventually Rick decides to combine the two spaces (the old liquor store and the newly obtained video store). In 2012, the Pella Windows Store closes its business in the Skyway Shopping Center and once again Gioiosa's Wine & Spirits expands for the third time to become the second largest liquor store in Clinton County at 6000 square feet. We are the most LIKED (on Facebook) store in the area with great customer service and wide selection.
