Founded in 1967, The Fortune Society is a nonprofit organization that provides education and counseling services to more than 4,000 incarcerated men and women. It offers housing, career development, parenting training and family services. The organization provides medical treatment services to patients with tuberculosis, HIV and hepatitis C. The Fortune Society also offers outpatient substance abuse treatment, case management and support services.
