HistoryOur names are Travis and Cyndy Barnes. We're married and we both struggled with our weight at one time or another. We started Journey Fitness in April of 2013. We wanted a place that was not a gym. We did not want to make money on people who paid for memberships and did not come. We created a place where we and our coaches would know everyone's name, goal and limitations. We created a place where you are not a member but a family member. Birthdays, Anniversaries and important milestones are all celebrated. We contact you if you stop showing up. We visit you if you are in the hospital. We are with you for fitness challenges or other challenges life throws at you. We know firsthand what it is like to struggle with your weight and we have both had our own weight loss achievements. We know everyone on a first name basis because our clients are like family to us. We will find answers to their disappointments and celebrate their victories. We will know the goal they are working on at all times. If they are in the hospital we will visit. If they stop showing up then we will find them to try to bring them back in. This is called a fitness emergency. Each month we will create fitness challenges so our clients have the opportunity to see what they are now capable of outside of the gym. We will teach our clients the value of the food they ingest. Each week we will arm our clients with new information so they can make wise decisions concerning their health. We will be the guide that took our clients on a fitness journey that morphed their lives from the disappointment that it was to the enjoyment that they dreamed it could be!
