History
The church was settled on what was then Knoxville (now Corning's north side). The was incorporated as the First Congregational Church. In 1957 four national historic denominations formed the new denomination, the United Church of Christ which is a united and uniting Protestant denomination. Soon after, our church officially joined the UCC and has since been known as the First Congregational United Church of Christ.

The First Congregational United Church of Christ of Corning, New York, believes that we are all made in the image of God and that we are called to celebrate our God-given identities regardless of age, class, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, physical ability, marital status, race, ethnicity, or mental ability.
