ORBIS International is a nonprofit organization that offers services for blind individuals in developing countries. The organization administers various programs that include clinical training, technical assistance, institutional development, community education, behavioral change and health care reforms. It works with several hospitals, universities, local nongovernmental organizations, eye banks, government health departments, and health and training centers. ORBIS International organizes more than 900 sight-saving programs in over 80 countries worldwide. The organization offers treatment and prevention services for diseases, such as cataract, diabetic retinopathy, strabismus, trachoma, glaucoma, retinoblastoma and corneal blindness. It maintains offices in Bangladesh, China, Ethiopia, India, Vietnam, Peru and Jamaica.
