Eric Crihfield, MD, is a board certified, fellowship trained faculty OB/Gyn who provides a full range of obstetric and gynecologic care, with a focus in complex laparoscopic/robotic surgery and treatment of conditions such as fibroids, abnormal bleeding, endometriosis, pelvic infections, and ovarian cysts.Having completed a fellowship in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery at North Shore University Hospital, Dr. Crihfield has extensive experience in both conventional and robotic assisted laparoscopic surgery, as well as hysteroscopy and vaginal natural orifice transluminal endoscopic surgery (vNOTES). His passion is managing even the largest fibroids and most complex surgeries through small incisions using laparoscopy, resulting in reduced pain and faster recovery, but he also provides expertise in a wide range of medical management options for the conditions he treats. When asked about his approach to choosing the right treatment, Dr. Crihfield says "There are many management options both medical and surgical for almost all of the conditions that affect my patients. There is rarely only one right answer, so my job is to present all options and help each patient choose the one that best meets their goals. If they choose surgery, then I strive to provide that to them in the least invasive fashion possible."Dr. Crihfield is also an assistant professor at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell and a member of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL). He has presented his surgical techniques multiple times at AAGL's annual global conference.
