Located along Main Street, East Setauket Pond Park gives residents a small place to make a quick stop for a moment of peace and serenity. The park features a historic wooden bridge, a gazebo and a short walking trail.
While the park is named for the pond, it's actually an inlet extension of Setauket Harbor.
Its most recognizable feature is the gaggle of geese that call Pond Park home. In late spring, it's a great place to watch just-hatched goslings wade in the still water. Just don't get too close to the mother—since like all overprotective new mothers, she might just come after overcurious visitors.
