New York Emergency Medical Rescue
Emergency Medical RESCUE of NYC is a volunteer BLS-D First Response Unit operating in the City of New York. Formed in 1995 by Martin Grillo, a Paramedic, the team consists of members from the EMS and Law Enforcement communities who volunteer to provide assistance to the public. They offer services such as assisting at transportation incidents, providing emergency communications, and disaster preparedness, response, mitigation, and public education. Additionally, they provide medical standbys at special events and have been approved to operate at the EMT-D Level by the Regional Emergency Medical Council of NYC REMSCO. EMR NYC is a non-transport service and a member of the NYS Volunteer Ambulance and Rescue Association, District Four. Their Medical Director is Dr. Louis Marshall, M.D. As a 501(c)(3) Not For Profit Corporation, all of their funding comes from donations, and none of their members receive compensation for their services. Their mission is to assist the people of the City of New York, and they rely on the generosity of donors and supporters to further their cause.Generated from the website
