Most recently, Irena's Vow, a new play by Dan Gordon, was developed through script work and readings at Directors Company. Directed by Artistic/Producing Director Michael Parva, it debuted Off-Broadway at the Baruch Performing Arts Center. After an extended successful Off-Broadway run, the play transferred to Broadway at the Walter Kerr Theatre, receiving a nomination by the Outer Critics Circle for Outstanding New Broadway Play. After every performance of the Broadway run of Irena's Vow, unprecedented these Question and Answer sessions further connected and engaged the community in not only the play itself, but to the story of one of the most courageous and unsung heroines of World War II.
