The Department of Pediatrics, a part of the Stony Brook University Medical Center, offers a wide range of health care services. It provides programs in adolescent medicine, allergy immunology, cardiology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, neonatology and pulmonology. The department undertakes case management and medication monitoring for patients suffering from developmental and behavioral disabilities, infectious diseases and genetic and metabolic disorders. It also offers residential pediatric training, basic and clinical research and fellowship programs to students. In addition, the department provides advocacy and community outreach programs. It organizes a variety of activities that include seminars, conferences, workshops and lectures on general and ambulatory pediatrics. The Department of Pediatrics is located in Stony Brook, N.Y.
