Dr. David Buchholz is a general pediatrician and the senior founding medical director for primary care at Columbia. Dr. Buchholz received his medical degree from the University of Illinois, Chicago and completed internship and residency at the University of Washington and Seattle Childrens Hospital. Since graduating from residency, he has worked as a general pediatrician, medical administrator, and faculty member at Pacific Medical Centers, Swedish Health System, and the University of California, San Francisco. He joined the faculty of Columbia University Irving Medical Center in September of 2019 where he serves as the physician lead over the expansion of primary care for Columbia and NewYork-Presbyterian.Dr. Buchholz at Columbia Primary Care and ColumbiaDoctors Pediatrics adheres to the most up-to-date and rigorous standards of care, and he works closely with world-renowned pediatric specialists at Columbia and NewYork-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Childrens Hospital. He offers children and their family kind, personalized and comprehensive service, with careful coordination and continuity of care to enhance the health and well-being of each child he sees. Dr. Buchholzs goal is to ensure that families get exceptional medical care while still recognizing their childrens unique characteristics and needs.
