History
I (Dan) was always a photographer (since early High School and a family in the business). At first, I thought a career in photography would be a conflict of interest and it would not be fun and exciting if I was making money at it and not shooting what I wanted to shoot. After years in the financial industry and light shooting, I dusted off my camera, and starting photographing NYC street scenes and architecture; entering work into local Brooklyn & NYC galleries for exposure and to feed my creative interests. By 2006, the portraiture interest grew and grew and I started taking on clients, buying equipment and re-educating myself on lighting. Today I could not be happier and my greatest joy is seeing the results and happiness I provide my clients in the form of imagery that showcases milestones, real personalities, and realistic captures of each and every genre of photography that I focus on.
Specialties
Capturing Your Finest Personality Traits & Emotions. Providing lasting heart-felt, spontaneous, nostalgic memories. My brand of photography is a lifestyle retro & vintage inspired focus; an extraordinary combination of past & present. Having stared at countless images taken by my grandfather, John Palmisano from Roubian Palmisano Studios on Columbia Street in the Red Hook / Carroll Gardens sections of Brooklyn, NY (in operation in the 1940's - 1970's); my exposure validates my passion for the career that follows in his footsteps.
