Hi! My name is Daniel Mantei. I'm a flexibility strength trainer. I have a background as a professional ballet dancer, and danced with American Ballet Theatre for 15 years. In 2017 I discovered stretching with resistance. It has been transforming my body ! The concept is that by lengthening muscles that are flexed, fascia can be affected, dense fascia and scar tissue is reduced. Fascia is connective tissue that stabilizes, encloses, separates, and runs-through muscles and other internal organs. Think of fascia as the web of tissue that all other tissues exist within. This is a different, new way of stretching. Engaged muscles allow for stretchees to participate actively in increasing strength and range of motion. I liken being stretched in this was to getting a work out that feels like you had a massage - all through stretching. It's wild!
