History
Cortland City Ballet was established to train and educate dance professionals and to instill in others an appreciation of dance as an art form and enjoyable recreational activity. The school is committed to providing comprehensive, highly structured training that is both professional and enjoyable. In September of 2012 CCB was thrilled to have a grand re-opening at a new location in the West Rd Plaza on Rt 281 in Cortland! Cortland City Ballet recognizes and respects the uniqueness of each student. The school's primary mission is to foster a love of learning and a passion for dance as an art form in each student. Our curriculum, taught only by professionals, skillfully weaves artistic and practical disciplines into classical technique. Students learn to follow their curiosity, to think creatively, and to work both independently and cooperatively with others. We celebrate diversity and strive to instill integrity, compassion, grace, poise, confidence and talent in each student.
