Established in 1959, Corpus Christi School has been a cornerstone of the community almost as long as its adjoined church.
The elementary school is staffed by a combination of lay teachers and members of the Salesian Sisters of St. John Bosco, and curriculum is based on Catholic teaching standards set by the Archdiocese of New York. Among its educational facilities, the school features modern science and computer labs, a gymnasium and a cafeteria.
With computer-based exercises integrated into most school subjects, and teachers who use "smart boards" to digitally assist them with lessons, Corpus Christi has embraced modernity as it prepares its students for life in a technology-rich world.
Corpus Christi also features a school band and choir in its arts program. As with most Catholic schools, students are required to follow a dress code.
