Compugeeks Inc is an Application Service Provider that specializes in supporting small to medium sized businesses with their information technology needs. Founded in 2000 by its president, John A. Scharfglass, Compugeeks Inc has become one of New York's most well known and successful IT Firms. We encourage you to view our Client Profiles so you can see how Compugeeks has helped them. As president of Compugeeks, John brings decades of computer industry experience and technical expertise to his clients along with a strong commitment to helping small companies receive the same type of IT resources as larger companies. Since founding the company in 2000, John has grown Compugeeks into one of the fastest growing IT companies in the region and has continued to serve the growing IT needs of the small-to-medium sized business community. John's focus on providing smaller companies with high quality IT tools and services began back in the late 1990's, while working as a technician for Delaware's largest barter company, Barter Network Inc. ( now Atlantic Barter ). Traveling to Michigan to consult for several firms ( which ranged from firms in the financial services industry to some of Michigan's largest IT firms ), John noticed something that would guide his future career path. Most firms were not focusing on the little guy instead only focusing on the big clients. Recognizing that smaller companies should have the same tools and resources available to them as the big companies do, John founded Compugeeks in Michigan in 2000. In 2004, John relocated the company to its current headquarters in Farmingdale, NY where he continues to focus on bringing big company IT tools and services to smaller companies. In addition, his belief that small companies should be able to work anywhere, at anytime, in a seamless environment has also led to a number of innovative products and services that Compugeeks offers and which makes the company such an important resource for the small business community. Through the years, John ( who prides himself on the fact that all of their business has been generated through positive referrals a testimony to the company's dedication to service ) has never shifted his focus away from the small business client. An active member of the small business community on Long Island, John is currently the Vice President of the Long Island Network ( LIN ) business networking group, one of Long Island's largest and most successful small business networking and referral groups. When he's not working, John and his wife ( who are expecting their first child ) live with their 6 rescue dogs and 3 rescue cats.
