Coachman Family Center is a 100-unit homeless shelter focused primarily on families in need. The center is part of the Westhab, a nonprofit organization serving Westchester County in New York. Once a family is determined to be eligible for shelter housing by the Westchester County Department of Social Services, they are referred to the most appropriate temporary housing facility ran by Westhab. Coachman Family Center provides 24-hour security, congregate meals, children s education and recreation services, youth development activities, substance abuse counseling, homemaking assistance and mental health services. Coachman Family Center is located in White Plains, N.Y.
