Bishop Kearney High School, founded in 1961 and located in Brooklyn, N.Y., is a private school that offers educational and extracurricular programs to students in grades nine through 12. The school has a student strength of more than 1,000 students and offers subjects, such as English, fine arts, foreign languages, mathematics, physical education, science and social studies. It also offers a variety of sports activities, including basketball, golf, soccer, baseball, swimming, tennis, cross country, volleyball and cheerleading. Additionally, it has a badminton club and a band that is both a marching band and concert band. The band holds nearly 15 performances throughout the school year. The performances include community parades, memorial services, anniversary masses, school concerts, assemblies, pep rallies and award ceremonies.
