Big Tree Elementary serves more than 600 students in kindergarten through grade five. It offers academic intervention services and is located in Hamburg, N.Y. The school offers art, science, music, computer technology, mathematics and peer mediation programs. It also provides nutrition and speech and language services. Big Tree Elementary s extracurricular programs include chorus, string orchestra and intramural sports. The school maintains a parent-teacher association that helps organize family nights, book fairs, food drives and recycling programs. It additionally conducts the Drug Abuse Resistance Education program in association with the Hamburg Police Department. Big Tree Elementary is a part of the Frontier Central School District, which educates more than 5,000 students via five academic institutions.
