Benjamin Nachamie, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic physician who specializes in conservative care. Dr. Nachamie provides individualized, nonsurgical treatment for adults and children of all ages at his office on the Upper East Side of Manhattan in New York City. Dr. Nachamie's extensive experience includes serving as an orthopedist with the US Army Medical Corps. During this time, Dr. Nachamie achieved captain's rank and earned a medal for exemplary service. He earned his medical degree at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City, where he also received a varsity letter on the crew team. After completing his internship at Albany Medical Center in Albany, New York, Dr. Nachamie finished an orthopedic surgery residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, where he currently serves on the infection control committee. Dr. Nachamie is also an assistant professor of orthopedics at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Dr. Nachamie's medicine approach centers on nonsurgical treatment of general orthopedic complaints, such as back pain, knee pain, and arthritis. He also provides conservative sports medicine care and performs comprehensive orthopedic exams.
