The Aspire of Western New York, formerly known as the United Cerebral Palsy Association, provides programs and services for adults and children with developmental disabilities. The agency serves individuals suffering with cerebral palsy, intellectual disabilities, epilepsy, autism, traumatic brain injuries and other neurological impairments. Founded in 1947, it employs approximately 1,500 people in locations throughout New York. The Aspire of Western New York s adult day services provide programs that help individuals pursue educational, recreational and employment goals. The agency organizes several workshops on music, art, technology, pottery and drama. It specializes in iXpress, which is an expressive arts program for individuals with cerebral palsy and developmental disabilities. The Aspire of Western New York provides an individualized set of programs for children up to the age 21.
