American Jewish World Service, also known as AJWS, is an international development organization that was founded in 1985. It promotes the values and responsibilities of global citizenship within the Jewish community. The organization works with women, youths, refugees, and religious and sexual minorities alleviate poverty and hunger. American Jewish World Service provides travel, work and learning opportunities for individuals and groups. The organization offers the World Partners Fellowship program, which includes educational seminars and skills building workshops for Jewish college graduates and professionals. It also provides advocacy, education, and conflict prevention and resolution services. American Jewish World Service is a member of the Better Business Bureau.
