History
AAPT opened its doors to its first group of personal training students in 2006. Since then, AAPT has graduated over one thousand career-ready personal trainers and has helped graduates find rewarding positions in health clubs, fitness centers, private studios, and other training venues across the U.S. and overseas. In 2011, AAPT became the first personal training school to achieve U.S. Department of Education recognition as a nationally accredited institution. Today, AAPT remains the only nationally accredited personal training school in the Northeast and continues to lead the charge toward higher standards and better opportunities in fitness education. Through the promotion of education before certification, AAPT and its graduates are redefining the qualities that exemplify what it means to be a qualified personal trainer.
