History
Originally called Jim & Georgia's and operated by Jim and Georgia MacCheyne for 36 years. Their daughter Angel J. Lawrence took over the diner and renamed it, A.J.'s . Her mother Georgia still works there today. The name change was derived from the many A and J and S that come from Angel's family. Her grown children, including those who shared a few of their teenage years in their household were: Jessica, Sam, Jeanette, Jesse & son-in-law, Jonathan. Her grandchildren to date are: Alorah Joyce, Alaynah Jean, Johnny, Jaxson and Landon John. It is her hope that one day one of these individuals will find the passion for cooking, provide good meals at a fair price and will love being from a small town running a business. Where locals come together and visitors passing through are remembered and quickly become part of the community. It is her hope that they too will look forward to the familiar faces of the locals and the returning visitors.
