The Adirondack Educational Center serves the school districts of Tupper Lake, Saranac Lake, Lake Placid and Long Lake in New York. Founded in 1975, it houses career and technical education programs. The center also provides an alternative education program for students in grades 9 through 11. The Adirondack Educational Center offers the New Vision in Healthcare program. Its programs are approved by the New York State Department of Education. In addition, the center s early childhood education program includes human development and positive guidance study units. The Adirondack Educational Center s cosmetology program features hair, skin, nail and related study units. It is a part of the Franklin-Essex-Hamilton BOCES.
