Smithtown High School West
Smithtown High School serves students in grades 9 through 12. It offers academic programs in English, mathematics, science, social studies, computer science, business studies, and career and technology education. The school has an athletics department that offers a variety of sports activities, such as cheerleading, cross country, field hockey, football, soccer, tennis, basketball, wrestling, volleyball, baseball, gymnastics, lacrosse, softball, and track and field. Smithtown High School supports several organizations that include the National Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society, as well as ecology, forensics, guitar, jazz choir, key, journalism and multicultural clubs. It is located in Smithtown, N.Y., and is a part of the Smithtown Central School District, which serves approximately 11,000 students in more than seven elementary schools, nearly three middle schools and two high schools.
