Sensei Dwight started Shorei Ryu Karate in 1989 just outside Chicago and after 29 years of studying and competing decided to continue the art of traditional karate and open a school in Rio Rancho

Shorei Ryu Karate Studios focuses not only on the students physical capabilities, but mind, and spirit as well. We offer traditional and sport karate for all ages beginning at 4 years old. We offer weapons training, Little Dragons, classes, classes for Adults and Children. We also offer summer classes, private lessons, and competition training.
