New Mexico Human Rights Projects (NMHRP) is a non-profit organization based in Albuquerque, NM, that has been providing unique, hands-on programs since 1995. Their programs engage students intellectually and emotionally, encouraging them to think critically about prejudice, racism, violence, and discrimination, and to make more compassionate and empathic choices.
As the only non-profit organization in the state offering such programs, NMHRP aims to challenge our understanding of human nature and inspire youth to be more respectful and sensitive individuals. Through their partnerships and past programs, NMHRP has been successful in fostering a greater sense of responsibility and promoting the rejection of prejudice and violence.
