History
For decades, the abundant fossils found in the eastern region of New Mexico were excavated and shipped to museums throughout the world. In 2000, Mesalands Community College established a dinosaur museum in conjunction with its Geology and Paleontology programs. Now, fossils are collected by students enrolled in the College's programs and are displayed in the exhibit hall at Mesalands Community College's Dinosaur Museum and Natural Sciences Laboratory.
