The Lincoln County Head Start (LCHS) program is operated by the Region IX Education Cooperative and supported by various public schools. The program s sites are accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young children (NAEYC). It promotes school readiness skills by enhancing the social and cognitive development of children through educational, health, nutritional, social and other services. The Lincoln County Head Start program features a selection of services for meeting the special needs of children with developmental disabilities. The program also enrolls students from low-income families. It develops individual educational plans for each child. The Lincoln County Head Start program features occupational therapy, psychological counseling and instructional support solutions.
