History
Hi. I'm JoAnn Alcon-Ortiz. Prior to becoming a Farm Bureau agent, I worked at the Luna Community College (LCC) in Las Vegas, NM, for 28 years and was the Vice President for Finance and Administration. I also served as a Board member of the New Mexico Public School Insurance Authority Board (NMPSIA) and was the Board Secretary for 6 years. I retired from LCC in 1998 after 28 years of service and I stayed home for approximately 1.5 years enjoying retirement. However, I decided that I was still too young to fully retire, so on October 1, 2000, I accepted an agent position with Farm Bureau Financial Services and opened my office in Las Vegas, NM. As a Farm Bureau agent, I am able to do what I do best - help people. With my prior experience and my insurance knowledge base, I can help people better understand their insurance needs and coverage. My husband and I own a cattle ranch, and we enjoy the great outdoors. Our daughters are also educators, and we enjoy spending time with
