Families and Youth is a nonprofit organization that aims to develop and implement prevention, intervention and treatment services to children and their families in a responsive, coordinated, timely and equitable manner. Founded in 1977 as the Children in Need of Supervision, it offers a variety of programs and services to the southern New Mexico community. Its Child Care Food Program is a child nutrition program involved with the safety and welfare of children from infancy through age 12 in a home daycare setting. Its home-based treatment team and mid-level family preservation service programs are intended to provide voluntary services to families experiencing severe disturbance in their functioning that may affect the well-being of their children, working towards the goal of strengthening and preserving families. It is located in Las Cruces, N.M.
