The Whizard Academy is the local franchise of a company that offers classes to improve students' math and English skills. Whizard Academy was founded in Canada in 1993 as the Academy for Mathematics and Science. Classes are offered in mathematics to students from kindergarten to college entrance level; in English from kindergarten to 8th grade; and from 10th grade to college entrance level in physics and chemistry.
The school states its mission as follows: "Grasping the fundamentals of mathematics, English and science is essential to the pursuit of a diversity of careers; to not develop these skills is simply to forever limit your potential and destiny in an increasingly competitive world."
