I am a fat 75 year old bike rider with a ten year old Trek Carbon fiber bike ( the same one used by Lance to win his first Tour I think ).While the bike still works, sort of, it suffers from strange shifts and frequent flats. So I brought it to Michael to adjust the shifts, and lube what needed to be lubed, and to replace the brake shoes.Since I regularly ride with a group of older friends, each day is precious since who knows who will still be there next week. Michael was great and he got the bike done in one day. Riding the bike was a revelation; it was like having a new bike since it rolled so much easier than before, shifted to perfection, and it's brakes could actually stop the bike fast. Earlier this winter we worked together on the complete rebuild of my 2001 Lemond Buenos Aires from the ground up. For me the process was nothing short of cathartic. Here I am a 40 year old pencil pusher who has fallen in love with this old and faithful steel frame bike. A bike that has faithfully ridden me through rain, sun, sleet, and snow for the past 8 years.
