The Westwood Volunteer Ambulance Corps has 46 emergency medical technicians who answer about 800 calls per year. The organization serves residents of Westwood and is involved in mutual aid with several towns in the area, including Hillsdale, the Township of Washington, River Vale, Old Tappan, Emerson and the Tri Boro (Park Ridge, Montvale and Woodcliff Lake).
The ambulance corps runs strictly on donations, providing medical assistance and transport to residents for free without using any taxpayer money. The group is always looking for volunteers. Call or visit the website for more information. Monetary donations can be sent to P.O. Box 278, Westwood, NJ 07675.
