History
Union County Exchange opened in May, 2009 in the heart of downtown Elizabeth at 1089 Elizabeth Avenue, offering a place one could sell his/her unwanted jewelry and assorted items from antiques to collectibles and musical instruments to power tools. Brothers Homero and Eliab Alvarez quickly earned a reputation amongst locals for the best prices in town as well as for being personable, honest and friendly. In November 2015, a fire destroyed the building the store was located at and two weeks later, reopened at its present location on 1173 Elizabeth Avenue. Since then, the brother's reputation has grown beyond Elizabeth with many traveling from out of town to sell his/her merchandise or purchase items the brothers have for sale at rock-bottom prices.
