Since 1968, The Learning Gate Association Inc., an association of child care centers, has been a non profit organization. Based in Raritan, N.J., the association has been licensed by the New Jersey Department of Human Services. Its pre-school program consists of activities, including music, story time, arts and crafts as well as outdoor play on well-equipped playgrounds. The Learning Gate Association Inc. conducts annual vision, hearing and dental screenings on its kindergarten children. In addition, the association organizes full time, part time and summer programs.
