With more than 25 years' experience in pediatrics and adolescent medicine, Geraldine M. Summa, MD, FAAP, considers all aspects of her patients' mental health, physical health, family relationships, and environmental factors when diagnosing and treating them. Whenever possible, Dr. Summa advocates natural, safe approaches to promote health in children.In addition to her practice with Summit Health, Dr. Summa participates in volunteer medical missions that help infants, children, and single mothers. She has been a regional cable television "kids' doc," providing information about health issues that affect children. She also delivers invited community lectures and presentations about infant / toddler and parenting concerns and the effects of media in children.Dr. Summa says, "Raising 3 boys has greatly increased my knowledge and understanding about all aspects of caring for children and adolescents."
