A fifth generation barber, Sal Izzo Jr. learned the haircutting and styling trade 58 years ago from his father, who learned it from his father-in-law, a town barber in Italy. His barber shop moved to Shrewsbury from Red Bank in 1970; specializing in cuts, styling and hairpieces.
The shop has two hair stations that can be curtained for privacy and consultation. Hair can be styled using current methods or by using a vintage hot comb for waves or curling. The shop has open hours but operates by appointments only, which are made by the half-hour.
