Caucus Educational Corp
The Caucus Educational Corporation ( CEC ) is the non-profit educational television production company that produces Caucus: New Jersey, the Emmy Award-winning public affairs series, One-on-One, which features some of the region's most compelling personalities, On the Line, a series of live call-in programs with New Jersey governors, and gubernatorial candidates, and New Jersey Capitol Report, a new PBS series examining our state's most pressing public affairs issues. On a shoestring budget, Caucus: New Jersey, the Caucus Educational Corporation's initial series, debuted in 1986 as a pilot project that aired on Suburban Cable, reaching 240, 000 households. In 1990 the series began airing on Thirteen/WNET, the PBS flagship station in New York, and then broadened its reach further to NJN-Public Television beginning in 1991. Today, the CEC has expanded its broadcast portfolio substantially, offering more programming that is available through more media outlets than ever before. In fact, the CEC has transformed itself from a small non-profit television production company into a dynamic producer of multi-media content that appears on PBS, cable television, and on the Internet, reaching more than 10 million households in six states ( NJ, NY, CT, PA, DE, MD ).
