Founded in 1971, The Puerto Rican Action Committee of Southern New Jersey is a nonprofit agency that provides social services, educational and cultural programs for Hispanics. The agency offers transportation provider for the communities of Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Gloucester and Salem counties in New Jersey. The Puerto Rican Action Committee of Southern New Jersey also provides employment services. The agency offers workshops on safely transporting children in automobiles. It provides emergency response, transitional housing, employment, information and advocacy, health and cultural observance services. The agency additionally offers a job readiness training program for students in collaboration with the Spanish American Services Cultural Association of Burlington County. The Puerto Rican Action Committee of Southern New Jersey maintains a location in Penns Grove, N.J.
