- About Us -Jarrod P. Kaufman, MD, FACS, is a surgeon and founding member of Premier Surgical in Brick, New Jersey. He is a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Surgery at Temple University School of Medicine and a clinically affiliated faculty member at the McGowan Institute for Regenerative Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Kaufman also serves as the Chairman of Surgery at Monmouth Regional Surgical Center. He has extensive experience in general surgery, including advanced laparoscopic surgery, complex hernia repair, and chronic venous insufficiency. Dr. Kaufman received his Doctor of Medicine from the Sackler School of Medicine at Tel Aviv University in Tel Aviv, Israel, and is board certified by the American Board of Surgery. He is an active member in multiple surgical societies, including the American College of Surgeons, the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons, and the American Hernia Society. Dr. Kaufman has published numerous peer-reviewed journal articles and has presented at meetings internationally. He also has been invited as a guest speaker and lecturer at multiple hospitals, health centers, and symposia. Dr. Kaufman is presently on the editorial boards of Contemporary Surgery and Hernia, as well as numerous other journals.
