Originally dedicated in 1929 and substantially renovated in the 1980s, Our Lady of Sorrows (OLS) is a French-Gothic structure that overlooks the town center. Among its social-action programs, the church offers a food pantry and has volunteers who work for Habitat for Humanity. The pastor is Monsignor Robert Emery; he's been at the church since February 2007. The church has a CCD (Catholic education) program for children in grades K - 8.
The church has substantial and growing Nigerian and Haitian communities.
