Established in 1898, the New Jersey Firemen's Home is a residential health care facility that provides nursing care services for the indigent and disabled firefighters. It is licensed by the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Service. The facility operates a housekeeping and maintenance department, as well as offers 24-hour emergency services. It employs a staff of skilled and certified nurses, social workers, dietary managers and dieticians. The facility maintains a 8,000-square-foot museum, which displays steamers, ornate hose carts and fire trucks. The New Jersey Firemen's Home is located in Boonton, N.J.
