Michael Arbuco, PA-C is a member of Summit Health's Orthopedic and Sports Medicine team. Mr. Arbuco specializes in evaluating and treating a wide range of orthopedic conditions, including working alongside orthopedic surgeons during procedures. He is experienced in injections, tendon repair, and wound closures, as well as treatments for fractures and other injuries to the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. Mr. Arbuco puts the patient first, ensuring concerns and goals are validated and supported. “It’s my job to help patients get back to their lives after an injury, to achieve mobility goals, or manage their pain to get back to doing what they love,” he says. He added that being able to be part of a patient’s full course of care—from injury and treatment to recovery and improvement—is most rewarding. Health care has long been among Mr. Arbuco’s interests and pursuits. Volunteerism with his local fire department and emergency medical services team led to work as a registered nurse, including in a surgical ICU, and ultimately to his current role. He also is an advocate for people experiencing chronic health conditions, such as diabetes, HIV, addiction, and mental health disorders. In his free time, Mr. Arbuco enjoys spending time with his wife and dog, playing guitar and drums, hunting, fishing, hiking, and volunteering at his local therapeutic equestrian center.
