History
Brothers Frank and Luigi Esposito migrated from Sorrento, Italy and opened Luigi's on the 1600 block of Simpson Ave. in Ocean City. After a short while they bought where the restaurant stands today, the corner of 9th Street & West Avenue. Frank had no children and was fond of Luigi's second eldest son Luigi Jr. When Frank passed away, Luigi Jr. inherited his half of the business. For many years it was Luigi & Luigi Jr working together and the family expanded. Luigi Jr. has three daughters, Dari, Maria, and Danielle. All the daughters grew up at Luigi's and learned everything from Luigi Sr. & Jr. After Luigi Sr. passed away it was hard for Luigi Jr. to spend alot of time there and so his daughters stepped up in keeping the family restaurant going. Today Luigi's is ran by the Ocean City business team of Joe and Nancy. Luigi's is dear to their hearts as they met and fell in love there many years before taking over the business in 2017. They bring their family recipes to the new menu!
