Long Q. Wang, MD is a member of Summit Medical Group's Family Medicine team. Dr. Wang is a family medicine doctor with large scope of practice who sees a wide range of patients, ages 13 and up. In addition to routine family medicine procedures and preventive care, Dr. Wang completed a CityMD urgent care fellowship and is trained to care for patients with acute and chronic conditions as well as laceration repair, abscess incision drainage, splinting, skin stapling, and more. Dr. Wang grew up with limited access to health care, which instilled a strong desire in himself to learn about medicine and care for those around him. His practice philosophy is to treat his patients with the utmost respect and care for them as he would a family member or friend. He says, “My passion for medicine is heavily intertwined with my love for people and my goal of helping them achieve optimal health. People may present with similar medical conditions but understanding them as unique individuals is critical to successful treatment plans.” Dr. Wang has several years of experience working on research projects, including the Adult Immunization Office Champion Project for the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) and a Post-Baccalaureate Intramural Research Training Award program with the National Institute of Health (NIH). When not caring for patients, Dr. Wang enjoys spending time with his three children, traveling, playing table tennis, hiking, and photography.
